Whispy clouds linger in
the vertical mountain valleys–
sooty streaks of smoke
left by dragons
ascending into the
somber sky-dome
and disappearing
with the mountaintops.

  Thanks, Nico! The image of the dragon’s trail of smoke up the mountains suddenly struck me after we stepped out of a restaurant where we were having lunch. Beautiful misty day!
